Whooping Cough Vaccination
If you are pregnant please contact the Surgery to ask if you are eligible for the whooping cough vaccination.
Please allow at least seven working days notice for your prescription to be ready. If you require the prescription returned to you by post then please supply a stamped addressed envelope.
You can choose to collect your prescription from the surgery or you can nominate any pharmacy of your choice. You will need to arrange this via your preferred pharmacy and tell us on your request where to send it.
We cannot take requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone.
We are happy to accept them in writing, using the printed back sheet of a previous prescription, via our website or via Patient Access
If you have highlighted text on your repeat prescription stating that your review may be due, please contact reception and make an appointment with the nurse. You do not need to see a doctor for the review.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
